An augmented reality app to reinvent sailing experience for seniors
Context
when? where? who? why?
When : when seniors are on their boats, or when they stop.
Where : everywhere in the world but more specifically on sea and on shores.
Who : Seniors that are rich enough to sail.
Why : because they will be interested and willing to pay for it
Target
for whom?
For seniors who sail. We could target their children who often used to sail with their parents when growing up, and therefore know what the sailing experience is. We could make them install the app on their parents phone to begin with.
Service offered
what? how?
The app would use virtual reality to make seniors discover interesting localisations where they are. For example, let's say that a senior is sailing, and decides to stop in the island of Philae in Egypt. They only will have to start the app to be guided to the great temple. After reaching it, the camera will be turned on and the senior will be offered an immersive experience to know more about it.

- museums experimented this kind of VR to make expositions more attractive however, they often are isolated projects, and you have to download multiples app, one for each museum. We want to make things easier by providing tours for hundreds of points of interests, such as museums, ruins, but also beautiful and hidden natural places.

Project 2: Sailing "tinder" for seniors
Context
when? where? who? why?
When it comes to senior and sailing, one of the main obstacle is for them to find partners. Many senior tend to be isolated, and may not necessarily know people personaly which share their hobby. We believe it is especially the case for sailing.
Sailing is an activity which requires planning and organisation. Additionaly, you cannot go sailing with "anyone". Especially when you are a senior. Some skills are needed, and finding partners with skills which are complementary to yours can prove to be a hard task. In this context, an app which matches seniors to potential sailing mates, would be a real plus in this narrow market. It would provide seniors who have a real drive towards sailing with a new network.
Target
for whom?
For seniors, and anyone who willingly wishes to assist seniors during their trip. (Maybe adapt depending on wishes of app user, provide the ability for seniors to choose whether they want to be only among seniors or not. This app should also appeal to younger users, so that those users could share our project to their parents / grandparents, who may not be fully technologicaly aware and may be hard to reach directly.
Service offered
what? how?
An app, which in a similar way as tinder, matches individuals with similar interests (locations, type of boats) and complementary skills togeteher. They can then start discussions together, and start planning their trips. The app could then refer its users to various partners, to make it easier for seniors to find a boat which matches their needs.

The difference with our app is that ours is centred around seniors first.
